Alan was originally a member of Rosehill from 1969 to 1979 during which time he served on the club committee as well as the Sutton and Croydon League Committee including running the Croydon Closed Championships for 3 years.
Having ‘retired’ from table tennis in 1979 he made a comeback 28 years later.
He is currently serving for a second spell with the Sutton League committee including running their closed championships
Outside table tennis Alan has completed in national Dog Agility Finals at Crufts and Olympia including winning the pairs at Crufts in 1998. He has also had photographs accepted for exhibitions and has had three short stories published.
